CAV Inventory at distributors

I am really interested in the potential Superformance car, but I was just wondering about what would happen with the pricing on the CAV inventory. I called the local dealer in and they have 6 CAV cars in inventory. Has anyone got any insight as to how thier pricing might play over the next few months? Do the distributors own stock or are they consignment? If consignment, I wonder what CAVs situation might do to them...any thoughts onthis might be appreciated.

I don't think they're going to have a blowout sale, if that's what you're asking. Demand remains high, based on what I saw in Las Vegas this last weekend. I believe there was one that sold over the weekend, and the guy who bought it was as aware of the current CAV situation as we are. There was also a guy who had come all the way from Norway and wanted to sit in mine to see if he would fit (he was 6'3"). I had several other people who wanted to sit in mine, and one who even wanted a ride. It seemed to me like they (Finish Line Motorsports, which is the local dealer there in LV) might have been able to sell a couple more if they'd had them available at this time. As it was, they were telling people they'd have to wait for a month or so for the production situation to get straightened out...

Hi Mike, Steve

I have to agree with Steve on supply vs demand. The CAV cars are in high demand, recently sold used cars returned almost all the purchase dollars (no depreciation).

There has been no official word from Hi Tech or any of their dealers as to the price and availability of their car. Until Superformance starts taking orders there is no real price.

Many folks in the forum here have expressed the opinion that the Superformance GT40 cannot be made for less than the price of a CAV.

In my opinion, a price break in professionally built GT40's is not going to come from Hi Tech. They are a premium builder, why do a cheap GT40?

Anyways, I've just landed to more cars and they're both sold. We're so busy building customer cars here I have no chance to work on my own!

Have a great day, catchya later.

Agreed

I have no data to support...but IMHO I suspect the SPF cars
won't be on shore until late this year....and any affect
they may have on their competition's price policy would
not happen until well into next year.

well I went to the dealer and saw 6 CAV cars - two in gulf colors, one black with gray stripes, two silver, one red and a spyder red with white stripes.

One o fthe silver ones was complete and he took me for a drive - it had a stroked 302 with injection system putting out about 450hp he said. When he got on it - it was a beatiful sound and the acceleration was impressive.

Magical and only $59900 to boot.

Hmmm...two of them are not spoken for...
