Checkout the new CAV site for widebody pics

Spoke to Bob Lacey last week to forward me some widebody pics. He informed me the website would soon be updated with the new pictures.

Looks pretty nice! www.cavgt.com
I'm still deciding between the ford remake or a replica. I'm going to wait it out until at least the release of the new GT40.

For a second I thought it might be my car!

Looks nice. Comparing the two (New Ford vs. Replica). One is more for crusing with performance a bit secondary The other is more original (to the 60's GT40) and capable of higher performance but is a bit tighter. My opinion.

The thought of buying more replacement parts from Ford when I have a repair makes me sick. For example I have a 1992 convertible Mustang with a broken small spring in the latch for the convertible top. The spring costs $23 from Ford but has been discontinued and they now want you to buy the complete handle assembly at $225. All this for a 29 cent spring. I think I will find one and modify it to work. A friend of mine also bought a flasher unit from Ford for a Taurus for $50. The non Motorcraft ones sell at most auto parts stores for $3 - $10.
