Classiccars Magazine March 2003

Hi all,

CLASSIC & SPORTS CAR and THOROUGHBRED & CLASSIC CARS are both superb British publications. They are similar in character and content and the print quality is top class. In both cases there’s almost enough reading matter for the whole month until the next edition appears.

In the October, 2000 edition of THOROUGHBRED & CLASSIC CAR
there’s an interesting nine page article with beautiful pics about yellow GT40, chassis number 1077, sold to Yamaha in Japan 30 years ago and being returned to England. On page 55 there’s a magnificent pic of the cockpit and it’s so inviting you just feel like climbing into the page and driving off in the thing! It’ll be worth hunting down a back copy.

CLASSIC & SPORTS CAR is published by Haymarket Specialist Publications Ltd, Somerset House, Somerset Rd, Teddington, Middlesex TW11 8RT, England, Editorial tel: +44 (0)20 8267 5399, fax 5318,

I've been checking my local bookstores for a couple of weeks. I went in today and they still had the February issue on the shelves...started walking out disappointed when I noticed the March issue on a cart, waiting to be put out for sale. Man, they must still deliver things by Pony Express down here!

You think you have it slow?? We've only just received the January issue down here!!
