Coyote engine - wiring loom HELP PLEASE...

HI there

We need urgently the knock sensor section of the Coyote engine wiring harness. This is a very short section that plugs into the main engine harness and connects the two knock sensors to the engine harness.

We have been unable to source this missing sub-harness here in Australia and wonder if any of you (probably those of you in the USA) could offer any assistance in locating one of these, or maybe offer some suggestions as to where we could try to get one. Even if we could get the connectors, we could make one.

I have attached some photos which show the complete section, the FoMoCo part number and some closeups of the connectors (two 2-way and one 6-way required).

Thank you...
Bill

Did you buy the PCM kit for that engine from Ford? I am pretty sure I have this and that it came with that, or maybe it was the new Cobra Jet intake with it's installation kit.

Anyway, here is the PCM info: https://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=12284

Note that you can call Ford racing directly at 1-800-FORD788. They can tell you how to get the part for sure.

UPDATE: Have a look at this. Might be of help: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/2011-2014-mustangs-354/878451-knock-sensor-harness.http

Hi Bill,

Is the harness in the picture the actual part you need?

Regards,
Renato

Hi Renato

Many thanks for your reply. Yes, this is the actual sub-harness that we need. We have the rest of the main engine harness and we don't know how this bit mysteriously went missing. This is all that is stopping us from starting the engine in our GT40.

Cheers...
Bill
