I accidently damaged the Evaporator assembly by drilling a hole
through the evaporator. Car is CAV Gt # 105.
After the freon and green flourescent cleared I removed the whole assembly. I was laying under the dash at the time. Not easy to
escape from that position when freon is spraying all over.
Question number one is can a hole in an evaporator be welded?
Question number two is does anyone know where to get a new one.
The black plastic cover box is so glued and attached to the evaorator that an entire new one may be in order.
Is this unit unique to CAV Gt or is it originally from another car.
