That will buff right out...................

Watch eBay and see how long it takes to be offerd.

If it hits e-bay, I'll bet that you almost buy a complete car for what I've seen some of those parts go for. It does look like the driver was fairly unscathed so I will add, better that than an original.

Yes the hit to the wall was pretty hard. What you don't see in the pics is the on ramp just behind. Driver was already out of control entering the interstate accelerating up the ramp and had begun to spin counter clockwise across the path of 4 lanes of approaching traffic. To the best of my knowledge he left the scene with only minor injuries.

Safety note: For those of you who have this type of GT watch out for that single protruding speaker between the seats. It lacerated the back of the drivers head pretty badly.

Rich.

The guy who runs the exotic "rebuild" yard (same guy who went swimming in his Veyron) will have it patched up and painted and advertised in no time as a "low mileage and pristine GT40" with clear title.....

The Ford GT has probably one of the highest percentage of damaged to number built of any "exotic". Ford told us back in 05 that many owners would be "first timers" and business owners/farmers/self made people who will buy a US built supercar but probably not a Fezza or a Lambo.

This is further proof that writing the purchase check does not guarantee driving ability!

May be a coincidence but I put in a bid on a trans out of a Black GT yesterday on EBay you can see the pictures on X2 Builders site through EBay

I tried to find pictures of another Black GT that crased much the same here in Auckland. The guy had it two weeks and found a little button on the dash that said "traction control off" the rest is history.
Its now been rebuilt strictly as a racecar.
The new owner has done a good job too. here's some recent pic's
