Dipstick Popped

Took the car out for a fast entrance onto the freeway.

As screaming through third gear the left side of rear window was squirted with oil.

I stopped and checked and saw the dipstick out and the oil came from the dipstick pipe.

Maybe it was not all the way in??

No other issues with the car.

The engine is a pro built 351 stroked to 427. Dart block, AFR heads, cam
and I estimate approx 500 HP.

I put a little bend in the dipstick because it was very loose.

I have no other engine issues, I have the vent in the valve cover
on left side and right side has a pcv valve.

Any Ideas.

Thanks

I have the same motor and same issue. I resolved it by using ss saftey wire attached so I can feed thru a drilled hole in the dip stick finger loop. If I forget to attach the wire it blows out and oil all over every time.

Thank You Tim

I will do a similar correction on the dipstick.

I am also in Southern Cal in Orange County.

Are you inthe neighboorhood?

A lot of times this indicates that you have more crankcase pressure than you have the ability to ventilate it.. You might want to look into your crankcase breater system to see if it is sufficient..

i agree with the tip mentioned above. there could be also a case of crankcase malfunction and it should be equipped with PCV Valve for better engine performance
