Edelbrock 7122 Camshaft.

I have located a 289 lump with an Edelbrock 7122 camshaft included to fit into my Southern GT. The only information I have found so far is that it has a spread of power 'tween 1500 and 6500 rpm. Has any one fitted and used this cam on the road and if so what was it like to drive. Is the tickover acceptable for example? I intend to use a 650 carb.

Looks like a good all around profile. Should have good driveability.

Graham,
This is the one I think most peole use as part of the Edelbrock Power Package. I beleive Tony Hunt and Dave Champ have them in their cars and they work OK ;O)

Thanks Neal and Brett,

I'm still learning about the specific engine side of things. I thought it might be OK but it's always assuring to have the word from others.

By the way, your build page is excellent!
