Electric defrost ideas?

I’m setting up my A/C system on the RCR gt40 and looking around for a small electric defroster that i could mount under the dashboard. I don’t need heat so I’d like to avoid all the plumbing and routing if possible. Since the car will only be used i fair weather and might need the defrost only on chilly mornings. I searched around but can’t seem to find anyone doing this recently.

These would probably work. Ducting to the demister might be a challenge since the AC evaporator is in the way. You could make defrost slits near the front of the dash on either side of the demister. Might be able to hide them under the spider.

My plan is to run a duct from the NACA duct to the demister with a cable operated sliding gate to regulate air flow. The duct will have a water trap baffle in the event I get caught in the rain.

Hi
On my DAX I had electric blower heaters fited
See post 58 and 59

They were enough to meet the regulations when registering it but not strong enough to do windscreen fog any damage on a cold damp day.
From memory 300 w each and the alternator belt objected strongly when they were on.

I has a chamois covered sponge in my door pocket and used the manual method to keep the screen clear.

For air input into the cabin I used 2 boat bilge room vent pumps and ducted air from front brake scoops….kept air moving in traffic and above 20 mph no fans needed
