engine temperature

I have a roush 342 and would like to run an in line thermostatic switch to control the radiator fans .what temperature thermostat switch should I choose ? and should it be pre or post radiator in the cooling pipes.
Hopefully some one out there will have the knowledge

Hugh,

Since you have an adjustable, you're going to end up playing with it a bit before its sorted, but 180° sounds like a good starting point. I am assuming your gauge sensor is in the block (or actually the intake manifold), so the resultant temps there are going to tell you if you need to lower or raise your thermostat for the fans. How much lead your going to need on rising temps is going to be highly dependant on your rad and fan combo and is just going to take tinkering. At least, that has been my experience.
