ERA 2072 Comes Home

The wife and I picked up ERA 2072 on Thursday. Here's a couple of photos.

I have to add that I wasn't out of the truck 10 seconds on the first gas stop on the way home till 3 people crowded around the car and trailer asking what it was. One guy knew what it was and has been looking at ERA's website. The wife ended up filling up the truck while I was talking.

Bob, if you are reading this or if someone knows - what kind of lights are in the lower section of the front? I wish to have similar lights, like 1076 and some others that put driving lights below instead of turn signals. And, what kind of little turn signal gets used up top?

ERA makes a fantastic product. Well worth the wait although the wait fit my schedule. Still, pretty exciting when delivery happens.

I'll try to answer questions:

Jerry, options included leather interior, pin drive, sway bars, AC, rear heat shield, 1075 flairs, HPC coating on suspension parts, plus others.

Ron, Bob could answer with specific part numbers, but ERA has been using a very small light for turn signals along with a large driving light. You can just see them in this photo.

Alain, ERA did the brackets. Since I'm running a Cleveland, they had to be a bit different than they usually use. They set my engine in the chassis to make sure everything would clear.

Bill, I did the engine and transaxle during the wait for the car. Been daydreaming!!

Chris, I really liked the first photo too. Every time I looked in either mirror, there it was staring back!

Mike_DD, Bob should probably answer because I'm not sure what chassis number they started with. But yes, their chassis numbers increase by one with each GT that is built.

Thanks to all for the compliments. After years of wishing and waiting, it is really special to actually own the car and to start the building process. Maybe an ambitious goal, but I'd like to have the car ready to go this summer. I'll be taking lots of photos along the way.
