garage and frame rack

Hi i am currently setting up the garage, it is 7mx6m, anybody got any tips about bench space and storage space, secondly can you get a space frame stand that can rotate the frame into the verticle position and if not if i think one up i will post the drawings for every one. Last question iv'e tried to join the GT40 Enth club but don't get a reply. Thanks and i love reading all the questions in the forum its the best idea since GT40,s were invented

Welcome aboard Shanew. Its good to see another fellow Melbournian on the forum.

My gararge is 6m X 6m and I had the same dillema about where to place the workbench - especially given that I also had to store another smallish car.

I finally decided to mount my work benck on heavy-duty castors and it has worked really well for me. The castors have braking devices so that I can lock it down into its new location (away from where the space is needed). It also had the added benefit of raising the bench a little, making it much easier on the back.

The concept also works well when you have a large item, such as an aluminium sheet that doesn't quite fit on the bench. I then simply move the bench away from the wall.

Combine that with a chassis frame that was also mounted on castors and there was more than enough work space.

Hi Shanew

Yur garage is also larger than mine so you should be OK for space although I did cheat by storing a lot of extra parts waiting for fitment elsewhere. A lot of the stuff can be stored in the boxes you get it in, but you need to be careful with things like seats. I stored things like that in the house.
