weve had two rear engine windows go crack and a set of front light covers...dont know why maybe handled wrong or just one of those things...doesnt really matter..

anyway having a couple of rear windows made in HT poly to the full SLC window size. (we have moulded side louvres to be intergrated in ours but the middle form of the plastic is the same i.e cut down hence why we are making the full SLC window and cutting - just as easy)

They are being made wednesday and wondering if anyone needs a spare as further parts come down in price. Anticipated around £350 each for the full SLC spec window in suitable material with traceability spec.
Again maybe delivery to US may make this non viable?

Is this GT40 technical related? If you've got parts for sale there is a parts for sale area. If it is RCR specific maybe it belongs in the RCR subforum.

Sounds like an installation problem...

I've cracked some pretty nice Lexan in the past until I learned the secrets;

1) If at all possible - use Nylon screws.
2) Tighten only until the lexan is secure - if you see the lexan deform at all, it's too tight.
3) If you must countersink your screws, they must be nylon - never steel as the expansion rates differ too much and you will break the lexan.
4) Pan Head screws are your friend when installing Lexan

5) Avoid stress risers by first laying down a strip of foam tape to serve as a cushion for the lexan to bed against..

I hope this helps!
