Tom, pls make me a favor,
I feel that the torque capability of many transaxle is really optimistic and does not take care of the impact factors.
Pls add to you spread sheet the following parameters, they will help to find the lyers:
1) Constant torque capability 880 Nm
2) Peak torque capability 1.250Nm
3) Output torque peak capability 9.000 Nm
4) N° of bearings supporting the shafts 3 + 3
5) Shaft center distance 85 mm
6) Width of the gears 22 - 26 mm
7) Modules used 2.5 - 3.0
8) Helical angles used 24 - 31°
9) Crown wheel diameter 235 mm
10) Material and heat treatments used on the gears 16NiCrMo12 Tremped and under low pressure carburised 3 times

I will keep my thoughts for my self by reading those numbers, but let us see who feels confortable to fill this data sheet.

I`m very interested in a box that can take high torque.
Building a Lexus 1uzfe V8 engine to my Lotus and the torque capasity of the gearbox will be the limitation.

What is price for the box you are talking about here?
I have tryed to search for this gearfox boxes at the internet to find prices but couldt find anything.

Hi all friends,
the T 906 is a monster taking a lot of real calculated torque.
We have also the cheaper T 756 which is strong enough for those applications.

do you understand why nobody is adding the informations listed above?
What's the problem in showing publicly those parameters that only specialists are understanding?
Probably some numbers has been declared like the last fish gotted in the river. Shall we cut the head and the queue of the fish to find the real lenght??

No criticism of anyone, and I think people want to protect their position. Fair enough.

For me the GT40S challenge is to seek out what it takes to build a gear box (probably the most complicated product in a kit car or any product for that matter), and understand what makes it work, and reliable.

Good luck to all and remember that you pays your money and takes your chances.
