Go England

Actually there are a lot of rules and a very high degree of skill and fitness is required. The tackles and fights are part of the game but heavy penalties apply for fighting and unfair tackles.
What I posted was a compilation of big tackles over several games.
The fight was one game however and many of the protagonists suffered severe hip pocket trauma and weeks on the side line.

Pete,
I was being rather sarcastic. No offense meant. Ausie rules would scare the hell out of our premadonna football players. A season down under is exactly what they need. That'd toughen them up a bit.

The only thing I remember about Rules is that they wear very short sleeved vests so they can show off their tattoos better, wear pants so tight the that they develop girlie voices and some guy dressed like an ice cream salesman who runs out every now and then and makes some kind of stiff armed gestures at the players.. :)

Now THAT'S sarcasm!

Hmmm, maybe THIS should be the final comment:

I met a fairy today who granted me one wish. "I want to live forever," I said.

"Sorry," said the fairy, but I am not allowed to grant that type of wish.

"Fine," I said, "Then I want to die when England win the world cup."

"You crafty bastard!" said the fairy.
