I'm in the dark on the dates ? Sorry to be so 'insular'
but I haven't made any diary notes and spending so little time in the UK I haven't picked up on any info so you would need to let me know when ?

Malcolm,
Official forecast on request - Probably available by tomorrow lunch time. Unofficially - have a go by using westwind.ch site 'Forecast models 0 - 10' and then 'UKMO Brack' and select 'UKMO Brack wz' then use the 'ALL' tab to get the animations. Stop the animations on the days relevant to you. Then the rest of making a forecast is relatively easy........./ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Thats our bread and butter in RaceMet but we don't really do 'sunshine'. In fact, sunny days are quite boring. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
More sometime tomorrow when Victoria reports back.

Goodwood

Friday: Cold front clearing away very early morning, leaving some patchy
cloud and a chance of isolated showers behind it very early on (before 8am).

The reminder of the day will be dry and sunny with only a minimal chance of
very light showers before midday. Rain is not expected.
The wind will be from the south initially and will veer to become south-
westerly and possible even westerly by late evening. The wind speed will be 8
-12km/hr.
Maximum temperature is expected to occur around 4pm and will be 22C

Saturday: A high pressure system will be controllong the weather in Southern
England. Therefore some fair weather cloud (2 - 3 octas) can be expected,
but rain is not forecast.
The wind will be from the south east but will be weaker today at about 3
-6km/hr.
Maximum temperature is expected to be 25C.
( a sea breeze is quite likely to form today and will probably come onshore
mid afternoon – will cause a relatively sudden slight temperature drop and
also an increase in wind speed – wind might become a bit gusty)

Sunday: Again high pressure is mainly in control. There is a slight chance
that a weak front may be present but this is only likely to create some
scattered cloud, rain is not expected.
The wind will be from the east and will be weak at 3 – 6km/hr
Maximum temperature is expected to be 26 – 27C.

Overall a good warm and settled weekend.

Hi Dave,
Is Victoria like Samantha in 'I'm Sorry, I Haven't a Clue?' /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Speak when you get back.

Tony,
You lost me on that one, but then again I get lost quite easily.
Our Meteorologist is Victoria Sinclair, Ist class Hon, Reading. Currently based in Oklahoma for 12 months and doing met info for Fondazioni Arena di Verona, Renault Formula 1, Audi Motorsport UK Team Veloqx as part of RaceMet Radar Systems. One very bright young lady.
I once knew somebody called Samantha but I'd better not go into that on the grounds of self incrimination ( - is that something like the 5th amendment).
Have a nice weekend. I'm off to Milan this afternoon for a post Opera season black tie gala ball in Verona (which went through to breakfast last year), followed by a weekend at the apartment on Lake Garda (RECOVERING !!!- from a very hectic schedule this year) before coming back to tackle the problems for the LMES race in Spa. Otherwise I would have been at Goodwood. It's a hell of a life really.
