I had a season working for Skoda followed by another for '555' Subaru (Prodrive), working with people like Burns. Some rally drivers are very headstrong and do not listen to anybodyl
The fans - yes - very crazy and seem to live with a death wish.
Skoda was great in that I eventually calculated that I could make no difference any more (they were so useless) and I renegotiated my contract down to at 50% and I could stay
at home. They agreed as well.

EGADS!!! Rallye must be the most dangerous of the motorsports.

In a way it reminds me of the way I drove as a teenager...surprised I survived a few of the off-road excursions, one of which involved 4 passengers as we were on our way to church.

Those rallye driver's must have a death wish...either that or there is a prize for the most spectacular wipe-out.

Some good stuff, Randy!!

Cheers!!

Actually, the outrageous way that the fans act as well as the potential for great bodily harm are two of the key reasons that the SCCA stopped hosting Stage Rallies... The liability was too great and the lawyers were having a field day.. They simply could not get reasonable insurance for events where injuries were not only possible, but guaranteed...
