Ground clearance

What sort of ground clearance is everyone getting.
Just bought my part-completed kit home yesterday and was disappointed to find the front clip drags along the ground when I'm putting it in the driveway. I guess I can wind the suspension up a tad when its finished as it does seem to be sitting quite low, but I don't really want it to look like a 4x4 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Our factory ground clearance is set at 5". Aerodynamically it is a good idea to give it a little downward rake toward the front.

I set my GTD at 5" both ends, good tire clearence, feels/looks good etc. Track setting would be a little lower, something like 4 3/8 and 4 3/4 front to rear. You do not have the bump/driveway problem that you have on the street. Much lower than that and you will have to make sure you have steering clearence at the front.

 

Hi all,

GT40 #1117 is set at 3" and the owner has to go into his driveway at an angle to prevent scraping. Mine will be at the 5" mark when done. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
