Hello, I am from Europe, I have been reading posts from this forum for the past 4 years, but only now I have decided to present my build. I have been fascinated with the GT40 and 2 years ago I have decided to start building one. I wasn't planning to create 1 to 1 copy, but instead to build it in my way. My choice for the engine was to go with a bit different engine than usual - a bolt on engine and gearbox kit. The body was manufactured by Tornado Sports Cars, which I was lucky to find and buy in Europe. Due to my body choice for this build I have decided to get windows, door handles and other minor parts from Tornado Sports Cars aswell. The details about the chassis I have found in this forum, but also made a lot of changes and corrections by myself, suspension and everything else was made by me. At the moment the 95% of this build is complete. After the test runs and test drives my goal is to build another one and for that one to manufacture the body from the carbon materials, monocoque chassis from the steel sheet metal and to use the coyote engine. I will be sharing my progression with this build below.
