As a follow on from the previous replies, i have just received some pictures from the race and these three of the Porsche just before the "bang" and one of me and the car relatively safely parked by a marshalls post after coasting to a halt.
Maybe it was Snettertons famous ivy clad "scary tree" that you can clearly see in first shot that put the mockers on me!!!
The engine rebuild progresses well, albeit very, very expensively. Over £500 for the bearing shells alone. If only i,d stuck to V8 engined cars life would be far easier and cheaper !!!!!
