Halibrand wheels

Spoke with Karen at Halibrand yesterday; they are very much in business, make nice wheels, although not (yet) the GT40 pattern. I think their long-term plan is to put these back into production sometime in the future; what their time frame is, I am not sure. They do make a Cobra wheel in magnesium that looks very good indeed. IF (big IF) the GT40 Halibrand wheels were available in MG or AL, can anyone give me an idea how much interest there would be? This is NOT apropos of putting an order in now, it's too early for that.

I could well be a starter for a set of original style pin drive GT40 Halibrands Jim.

Didn't they make the original wheels for Ford & Shelby??? You would think they would have the original pattern sitting around in some dusty corner just waiting to be put back into production. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Halibrand has changed hands. I will see how much interest there is and then call them back and see what's up. Would the same patterns be used to make aluminum and magnesium wheels? I have no idea.

Hi All
Fran Kress has just had the Halibrand GT40 wheels moulded.
I also understand that he also has the BRM's.

Regards
Chris.

Not sure why all the hassle etc.

Why not speak with Bill Jongbloed. He makes mag wheels, both BRM and Hallibrand.

I am very, very impressed with the 1st set he has made me. So much so that I have ordered a 2nd set for slicks/track use.

Regards,

J.P.
