Have you or do you know of any one who built there car from scratch? I met only one so far, and I got pitchers

My car is essentially built from scratch. We created the chassis, suspension components (excluding front uprights, steer rack etc.) and the molds are complete now. I have lots of photos but they are in hi-res format and I can't load them on the forum. P.M. me with your e-mail or just to ask questions if you have any.

There are actually quite a few. There are a few "dead nuts" replicas built from scratch but the majority of those fellows don't spend a lot of time on the forum and typically you won't contact them electronically.

Why limit yourself to scratch built GT40s?
If you're looking for drawings/dimensions good luck.

There are lots of neat websites chronicling self built cars.
Some are quite phenomenal, with some good lessons learned.

I just thought it would be neat to talk to and see the fruits of peoples labor, who can and do make the kind of commitment that it takes to do a project of this magnitude.
