Hello everyone!
I have visited this forum in the past & have finally decided to register.
I am hoping to start my GT40 build relatively soon. (Fully understanding, that can mean a few more years in the GT40 world) :laugh:
I am very excited about having a place to come & ask questions as I venture forward with this endeavor.
As to my build:

I've decided on a CAV chassis. '68-'69 Gulf Wide Body.
I have a period correct '66 289 out of a Fairlane that my father owned. Its going to Dralle Engineering for it's build. (1st time I've had someone else build a motor)
I'm slowly deciding on many of the other details as I research more. I'm sure there will be a lot of good experience here to help me.
I look forward to eventually meeting you all here.

Welcome Eli. Always nice to have another CAV chassis owner on board. Anything you need regarding your build you'll find here. Have you been in touch with Johann Keyser, the US CAV factory rep in NC as yet? A great guy with all the answers....ask me how I know!

Sounds like exactly what I'm looking for in a forum.
Yes I have been in contact with Mr. Keyser. Since he is our only US dealer I am hoping to build a good line of communication with him.
It seems that the trend in the US is to order turn key cars...
