Hi,
I've been lurking around this forum for about five years now and have read a lot.
I am 40 years old and work as a mechanical engineer.
Live in Norway, close to the Swedish border.
I bought a SouthernGT kit from Sweden in 2023 and am working on the car in between raising children and managing my job.
The car has passed the rolling chassis inspection with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (known as "Biltilsynet" in Norwegian).
As mentioned, the car is a SouthernGT with Swedish design on the uprights, an older type of rear steel uprights , a Porsche G96.96 transaxle, and a 302 engine.
One great aspect (of many) of this project is the opportunity to purchase old machining equipment and tools as side-projects.
This forum is truly impressive; I have gathered a lot of information here, and there is always someone facing similar challenges with very nice solutions to problems.
Best regards,
Per Egil Endresen
