Yes quite interesting .

A very close look-a-like was produced by Bill Badsy as a kit car . He called it an Eagle. At least the method of entry into the car was very similar.

Thanks for the info on the gearbox, could be hard to find never heard of a tempest, maybe it went by another name in another market. I agree it is a beautiful car imagine what a HSV commodore would look like now if the hurricane had been built.Looks very like a Countach from the front.

You would have only been a young fella when it was built/introduced in the early 60's Terry:)... driveshaft on tempest was even more interesting,...being what was virtually an oversize aeroquip hose...
