I guess this says a lot about the strength of the ZF

This guy dropped a stroked hemi into his Pantera...700 hp and 630 ft-lb torque. It appears that he is running this through his ZF gearbox. I wonder how long it (the ZF) will hold up.

I once saw a totally crazy Pantera called "Mega Buck" Very good description. The use of Titanium and iconel, etc would make you cry. The original owner also was part owner of a defense contracting company for the air force, and has since been arrested. The rumor was that most of the exotic materials came from left over military materials and that the company mechanics used to spend a lot of their "time" working on the car.

The engine was an all aluminum FE with mag. heads and twin turbos and freon based intercoolers. Preported 1600 HP and 1500 ft-lb of torque. Was several years ago and I did not hear what tranaxle it used, etc.

 

Just got back fm car guys breakfast. 4 Panteras there this am including one just completed twin turbo Pantera. Other Pantera owners who had driven it said it was very fast. Estimated 750 hp. cb
