JP. Nice looking competition Capri! I will bear your comments on the Carter pump in mind too.
I took the car for a couple of runs, it seems to be ok for what short acceleration runs are possible. On public roads Facet pumps will be ok and it is only under competition conditions as you have described that their low capacity will show.

Actualy it was on public road trips with this car where the Facet pumps started to fail after about 1½ - 2 hrs, highway speeds 70mph on warm days ending up doing only 45mph as the carbs didn't get enough fuel.

I also take this car on long road trips to the UK and Germany loaded with camp stuff.
