Italian 48 IDA carbs

Hi
I have owned a pair of IDA carbs for 22years. The original owner bought them new around 1998.
They do not have a country of origin cast into the bodies and don’t have the “tells” that would indicate that they were Spanish.
I don’t think it’s even remotely possible that they could be Chinese due to the fact that they are 24 years old.
I read that before Spain tooled up to make IDAs that they used bodies that had been cast in Italy that were “unstamped”
They were neither made in Italy nor Spain but assembled in Spain using Italian body castings.
Kind of makes sense but never heard of this before
