Hi All,
Question, I am installing the front accessory kit from CVF on my SBF 347, so far everything fits well. My question is does their water neck fit on the Edelbrock Victor Jr EFI manifold? I don't see how it does.
Thanks
Jeff

Hi all,
Trans showed up for CMS, along with CVF accessory kit.
Mocked up front end for now, and will do the same for trans. Kennedy kit looks great!
That waterneck housing came from CVF, no bleed port. It does fit the manifold, I am a retard.
Just need a car now, tried to contact Fran, and company twice for a build update, no response.
Regards
Jeff

Looks similar to the setup I have. I was able to get a 37" belt on it, 15370. 15375 also worked but the 37" got the alternator very close to the cylinder head on the back side so I went with that one.
Not sure if you figured out belt size yet but it looks like the one you have is too long lol
I have the different alternator fan on it as well, not in this picture though

Hi all,
So test fitting my G96 to the 347, second item in the Kennedy instructions state to clearance the G96 case for the starter gear. Before I start hacking my $17K trans has anyone else done this?
Any input greatly appreciated.

Hi I'm Jeff, and I am an addict.
Addicted to European vintage sports cars/bikes.
70 year old, retired engineer, tired of cleaning, painting, old crusty parts. Have always loved the GT40, and decided my next project would be to build one.
So yesterday pulled the trigger, and ordered my RCR GT40 Mk1 deluxe plus kit. Details:
  • LHD
  • Double nostril front panel
  • 15" Halibrands
  • Prestige stroker 302 long block
  • Transaxle: 986, or 987 ( need to research/decide)
  • Window hardware
  • Door boxs
  • Hartwell latches
  • Door eyebrows
  • Bundle of snakes exhaust
Thats it for now I will be finishing up my remaining projects, doing more research, and ordering parts.
Regards
Jeff
Hi Jeff, Vinny here I am 68 and also building an RCR Mk1 351 stroked to 427 welcome to the RCR world. Good Luck with your build. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a shout.
Best Regards

Got the trans installed, tested starter, no issues.
So Month 7 anniversary since ordering kit, no idea when it's coming.
Was wondering if I should put oil in the engine/trans, and spin it over every few weeks? I have a feeling its going to be sitting on floor for quite awhile.
Regards
Jeff

what spec did PM use for the alt / AC pulleys brackets?

So concerning the CVF kit, I am stumped, regarding the circular bit that seems to go into the crank dampner/pulley. It fits nicely into the dampner, and the pulley, but when the pulley is tightened down, it is not tight in either, just floats around. Am I missing something?
Thanks
Jeff

So just to put this issue to bed, I consulted with both CVF, and Prestige, the centering ring supplied with the CVF pulley is to be used with the stock crank damper. My damper is a March unit, and is supplied with a centering ring, which Prestige confirmed. For whatever reason my motor was shipped without the centering ring. Prestige overnited me the centering ring which works perfectly.
Hope this clears up any confusion.
