Jimmymac & Alistair's Monocoque Cars

James,
Beautiful work and attention to detail. I can appreciate the effort it takes to get where you are at now. BTW, can you explain the small dimple on the lower left of the engine deck in the first pic? I ended up filling mine on an RCR engine deck as my only explanation was some sort of water drain and since my headers are directly below, I didn't want water draining over that area.

Tom,
Obviously a drain as you say but I have only ever seen one fitted.
One would assume that there is tube leading from it to the wheel arch somewhere.

Finally complete with the body work fittings on Alistair's car.

Nice work James. Will they be ready for the summer? This is the only thread I keep track of on this forum anymore. Looking forward to seeing both of the cars completed.

Mike,
We are still working on my body shell to get it the way that I want it so the second car is a while away yet. Everything is ready and waiting until I get the paint on it.

Nick,
Alistair has had those escutcheons for ages and I don't know who makes them like this. Andy Booth makes correct parts so give him a try.

Brian,
This one is a goer now apart from the usual tinkering. Alistair enjoys starting it up every day when I go to the workshop - the git !

Cheers Mark,
Plenty of bar stock here mate.
That 3rd bracket hole is always a problem as it only fits Ford 289/302 heads by the way.
So watch out for it when you are boring your castings.

Casting just back from the foundry ,not as nice as yours James but with a little work will come right ,still got the origanl that fits our heads so will use that as the template for holes etc, thanks for the heads up now I will leave the rest untouched so can be fitted by application
