Johnny Joints

For the all knowing engineers on this forum

Would these joints be any good for suspension joints on a GT40 as opposed to spherical rod ends?

Cheers

They give about 30 degrees unidirectional movement which is greater than the common 22 degrees in a rod end. Don't know if this is particularly useful on a GT40 though.

Due to their construction in comparison with heims (rod ends) they will probably be a little less harsh at transferring road vibration through the car.

JJ's are also rebuildable, whereas heims are a replacement item.

I was thinking about them for the rear suspension where I'm currently on rose joints and would think that for road use they would give a longer life span

They are expensive though and I could probably change rod ends a couple of times for the price of Johnny's but perhaps the Johnny would last 4 or 5 times longer?
