Latest info on the Ford GT

The arguing and bickering comments do not help anyone on the board at all - in fact it detracts from it. I've not seen any of this type of thing up until the last week or so, but I will selectively ban people until it goes away. Yes, I support freedom of speech but I also want a productive board sans catty comments etc. Take those into emails please.

I can confirm that the first new Ford GT running prototype is running with a Ricardo transaxle. Although the RBT unit was perhaps an obvious choice for the speculators, as commented by another contributor, it takes a large resource like Ricardo to stand any chance to win such business from Ford.

Thanks Ron. I agree totally. I hope I did not come off as arguementative in this thread. Not my intention. I have enjoyed the great exchange of information on this site to date and hope it continues.

Does anyone have any information about this transaxle? I assume it would be a 6 speed.

Actually, you did. I understand why; you don't want my business. I'll do my best to accomodate you.

This is a great forum, I look forward to getting more information on the GT40s from the very knowledgeable members of the forum.

Your pal,
Meat.
