Link tanks?

Curious if most here link their tanks or if they leave them completely independent.

I need to order my fuel level sender(s) today so that kind of begs the question do I want one or two as I was thinking about running a line between them. Would simplify things and save a few dollars as well.

That is a good source of information, Renato!

I was looking at the diagrams near the bottom of that thread....I am planning on running a 5/8" or larger equaliser line near the rear of the tanks across the back rail in the engine compartment, with a one-way valve, shorten the passenger tank to make room for a swirl pot in the rocker area, and have a low-pressure pump for the passenger tank filling the swirl pot that contains my high pressure pump. I was going to do away with the Pollack valve and simply run a large overflow from the swirl pot back to the passenger tank.

Hi Darrin,

I like the idea of a crossover and a single fuel pump also. I think it can be done safely and 1/2 price (well, almost :) ). Take a look at the same post for fuel pump I'm thinking of using. It will fit your engine.

Renato

I checked out that pump Renato. I'm not too keen on cutting out a big hole in the tank or having to deal with pulling everything apart if something goes wrong but it might be the best solution even so.

It sure seems up to the task and I see it works with a return style fuel system like the Coyote so that's good.

Yes, I see your point. My tanks are still sheets of aluminum so I can finish them as I want. It is a mayor modification for an existing tank.
I'm thinking of access panel behind firewall (rear bulkhead) for pump service, not sure if that will do.

I wrote them, Holley, and one other asking for a recommendation on how to set things up from their parts. Will post back what I hear.

FWIW, in tank is often suggested and has some advantages for sure. Would just be a pain at this point in time to do, but I may end up going that route.
