lower front control arm to upright connection

Looking for description of connection of lower front control arms to uprights on original GT40 MK11..Is it a ball joint of some kind?

Thanks for the explosion.

Reason for my question: When cold (parked in garage or just taking off) I can steer w/o any noise but, after 10 miles or so I get a "creaking" from one of the lower control arm to upright joints (only when steering). I suspect it is lacking grease or needs tightning but, didn't want to dig into it w/o some idea as to what's there.

So...Do you have numbered parts description and can you advise as to correction for my problem?

If you have a ball joint perhaps you can drill it and fit a grease fitting in it?

The similar looking Moog parts (C5 Corvette) I have for my car have a grease nipples in the bottom center of part 62. Maybe theres a hole there and no nipple fitted?

If the bottom damper connection is a Rose joint, make sure that the noise is not coming from there.
