Manufacture unknown

I bought this "66" mark 1in 2019. Slow build with spinal surgery, and knee replacement. Now it is almost done, however I have no idea which manufacture made the kit. Any help. VIN 4F28GT40###

Hi Cletus,

My guess is Kellison. Jim Kellison was a major force in the early days of home built modified cars, "Google it Jerry!"

I seem to recall seeing an add in the back of an issue of Road&Track around say... 1964-5 with a picture of a car that looks just like yours.

The Kellison version was much closer to the real deal than the Fiberfab Avenger and twenty years ahead of any true to shape GT40 replicas that we have today.

That is a very rare car if it's what I think it is. The question is how much to leave alone and what to change. It's a time capsule and you're it's custodian.

Cheers
Ian
