Modern GT engine question

I am at some point going to get a MKII and want to spend my time (about a year) really thinking about what drivetrain to use. Has anyone used the engine from the new GT in a SPF? Also does anyone have a punch list of things that are missed by Olthoff or SPF that are the first must does?

I wanted the 4.6 or the 5.4 modular engine so I had one digitized and cut patterns out and there is no way it will fit, you would have to butcher the tub (frame) on a SPF car to make it fit. You need to look at RCR or one of the others to use a modular motor in a GT40.

Dennis Olthoff is a good guy. I consider him the guru of these cars. I purchased a roller from him and did my own install and he has helped me and many others with problems from the factory with these cars. They are not perfect coming off the line. I consider it like buying a model and putting it together without the instructions and missing a few parts.

Check with Lance at Hillbanks Motorsports. I was shown an SPF with the GT Ricardo trans installed and was in the final stage of assembly. Was pretty impressive looking.
