Yes indeed, well done Jac. I thought I'd fool you by posting a pic of her mother together with daughter Rachel Stirling, a chip off the old block if ever I saw one, but it didn't fool Jac who probably has pictures of the ever beautiful Diana Rigg of Avengers fame, all over his garage.

Diana, an icon of the '60's. GT40 connection:

Tell me she wasn't your fantasy then guys.. c'mon.

Actually, David Morton kind of knew all this because I believe Rachel went to school with daughter Sophie? Hope I've got that right, but he got it straight away by email and didn't spoil the contest.

Thanks, bit of fun...

Jac, your prize is coming over and leaving UK Tuesday evening. Her name is Lottie, she is 20 years old and comes from my town Lymington. She is going to North Island and will be there for 5 weeks... :)

Coincidentally, she is rather good at fixing tractors...

Im trying to work out whether I have aged better than Diana, had myself convinced until I looked in the mirror!
So what your really saying with that visit schedule she is a spanner girl for one of the english teams 'tractors' competing at the new Hampton Downs circuit in the McLaren Revival meeting starting this weekend & following Classic/SFOS meets, she wont meet many 'real' Kiwis in the North Island Keith:shy:

Jac, do you know everything? As in Life, The Universe and Everything?

Impressive mate.. Let's just hope you're not wearing pajamas.

OK, so what put you on to Rachel or did you recognise mum?

Aye Keith, It was her mums pic in #18 + google that solved the mystery, without those I wouldnt have had a clue:)........, dont worry mate, I will put the prize monies to good use starting up a 'new' company. C.R.C. , Classic Replica Clones , looks like thats the direction the industry is moving in.......:lipsrsealed::shifty:

Sorry, bit confused there mate. Will you be replicating a clone, or cloning a replica?

I think there is an important distinction here especially if you want your FIA Papers.<WINKS>

But I like the way you're thinikng... :)

PS - I would keep quiet about it as you know how excited people can get

PPS I studied a GT40 "lookalike" today - up close and personal. It has been sitting in a workshop for many years and all the "brightwork" has dulled and together with the general patina and the standard of panelling and (aircraft style) rivetting it looks so real and original that it was astounding. Of course, I'm not an expert (before someone kindly points that out :) )

It's a lookalike because it's not a "replica" . Makes perfect sense to me.. :)

Will chuck some photos of it up tomorrow.

Jac Mac,
I'm thinking of a government aided small business, not for profit of course (excepting salaries). I'll call it the "Church of the Holy Roadsters".

Funny you should say that Jack, because in Amsterdam, churches used to be tax exempt (not sure about now though), and an enterprising businessman promptly opened a "Porn Parlour" with, ahem, live acts in a building he registered as "The Church of Satan"

And he got away with it....

That's Amsterdam for you..... :stunned:
