Need help with a Hewland LG500

<!--StartFragment -->I own an LG500 4-speed box. We found a crack in the center selector rod casing. We are wondering if anyone might know if this can be successfully welded or if I need to purchase a new carrier. On that, where might I look for one for sale? Also, I think I would like to purchase a dummy shart and or a jig for changing gears and setting up the forks. Anyone out there with some ideas?

Thanks

Shross
The best person I can recommend is Peter Smith. He is based in the UK and is the main source for vintage Hewland parts. Even Hewland UK use him for all their vintage stuff.
Can you tell me what application you need an LG500 this for please?
I may have an LG500 becoming available in France at some point but it is likely to be some months before I know for definite whether this will be surplus to requirements.
Gazza.
