At just 3 days old my new (first) granddaughter (Georgia Anne) can't even say brrrmmmm, but there is a classic car race meet coming up in two weeks. Now If I can just convince my daughter to let me take Georgia along.....

Get Georgia there by hook or by crook. You can't start them early enough in my books. Rebecca was at her first meet at two weeks old and the noise didn't bother her at all.

At our last track day in August 2002 I persuaded Wendy to have a drive (Julian's 40) and I would look after Rebecca (then aged 3 months) as she went round the track for a session. Apart from the fact that Wendy nearly aborted this run in the pit lane when she saw me turn my back on the pram for five seconds to video Wendy's exit blast, she did eventually go out for a run.

I was filming from the chicane and had to film Wendy drive past and then spend the rest of the time videoing Rebecca asleep in the pram just to prove that the baby was ok. I survived, but only just!

Malcolm,

Thats a great story, and one I am sure that many car loving fathers can relate to!

Start 'em early has been my philosophy, and now my 4 year old is able to pretty accurately pick out many of the 'better' cars and name them, and can also (gosh I am proud) turn round and say "heh look, there's another picture of 1075"! (and get it right!)
(Just wish I could convince my 7 year old daughter to put her Barbies in a slightly better model! - anybody know where I can get a 1/8th scale 40 with Barbie sized seating?)

See if this works but this is my helper and the one of the youngest GT owners I've met.
Either way she's a good kid.
