Hi Guys,
Along the same theme of bringing forward new upgrade parts, here's the new Front Lower Control Arms. They look very close to the original GT40 a-arm however made of substantially thicker DOM tubing.
Just like the originals, these have the shock mount and sway bar drop links on one bolt center. Looks cool, lowers the shock mount extending it's travel too. The inboard pickup points have geniune Aurora monoballs with PTFE lining.
The balljoints are shown are larger than the stock CAV parts however we can fit the stock parts to this arm so it will work with your stock uprights.
The lower arms do not have the angularity issues with the ball joint the upper arm has, so we can offer the arm as backwards compatable. You can ad our new Upper A-Arms and Front Uprights in the future.
I suspect we'll have to offer a complete corner kit price for the set: Upper A-Arm, Lower A-Arm and New Front Upright. See the New Upper Control Arm post for details about the upright.
These are parts I've wanted to do for a long time. The CAV monocoque chassis has tremendous potential, what was needed was upgraded suspension bits for the early cars (pre 100 s/n) to extract that hidden performance.
CAV Canada can now supply all four corners, including trailing arms and lateral links and CV joint spacers for differnt track widths. Very cool stuff, hope you like them
Cheers
