New GTD 40 Car Club Mag

I just received the Spring 2002 GTD 40 Car Club magazine and it is real nice piece of work. The Magazine is 44 pages long and has a 7 page insert from GTD Racing.
The Magazine itself is full of articles including , amongst others, the upcoming racing season, The new Ford GT (Andrew I WILL fit into my car when it is done), Technical bits and peices, A feature on the MDA GT40 and a page which details what Frank Catt can do for you. In addition there is, as always, letters to the ed and the club spares database.
I would think that anyone with an interest in GT40 of any type would find it to be very informative and entertaining reading.

I second Brian's comments. The mag is great and there are loads of spares available, and several dealers ads as well.

I also agree, the mag is great, lots of info & a good read. I reckon those electric mirrors are off a 'new' beetle.

I have a critisim tho. In the supplements advertising parts available, there are no price lists.

WHY NOT? what is the big secret??

Thanks a million for your kind comments about the latest GTD 40 Car Club magazine. I guess that many of you in the US and Australia don't realise that there are two seperate clubs in the UK for GT 40 fans. The GTD 40 Car Club and the GT 40 Enthusiasts Club.

The Forum has opened our eyes to how lucky we are here on our little island and a few of us have been working very hard at the GTD 40 Car Club to move our Club towards a more International footing. We clearly have something unique to offer all of you who use the net, have a post box and share our love for GT 40s.

Watch This Space.

Andrew.

Hello Roy,
Those mirrors are off BMW's new Mini, your comments in the article about the Z3 are a giveaway as I reckon you saw them in the same showroom.
You offered a prize but didn't say what it was, so I guess I have to choose. Something Fontana with Kinsler injection will do or, if this is too much, just credit all Paul's times from last year to me.
I'll happily settle for any old helicopter/steam train/GT 40 you've got cluttering up the workshop (Yes, this man did build his own helicopter and fly it, must have a pact with the Devil).
Waiting by my Post Box.
Andrew.

Hello Andrew

Yes, quite correct - it's worth a bottle of bubbly in the Isle-of-Man,

the helicopter?

would you fly in a helcopter built by me??

In any case, its currently in Austria.

Hi Andrew
Road tested Roy's 40 today - awesome! The new central video camera mount works great.

As a GTD40 Car Club member I would like to endorse all the good things that have been said about the new Club Mag. Everyone involved including Andrew,Roy and Paul above have, I imagine, donated a considerable amount of their spare time and the results are exellent and the new colour front page has added to the mag's appeal.
Good luck to everyone in the Isle of Man Challenge, and you never know mmaybe I will see you there next year!!!!!

Paul I can't see the images you posted any ideas why?

Regards to all, Paul.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the kind remarks - we are all pleased with the result and hope that we move to a full colour mag in the near future.

Re the pictures - I don't know why you cannot see them. If you move your pointer over where they should be and press the right mouse button, do you get an option to 'show picture'? if so, try it.

Previously I have posted images to our club web space and then pointed to them but I thought I would try the method that was posted in another thread in the last couple of days using the imagestation.com facility.
Maybe I got it wrong? - I can see the pics, can anyone else?

HEY, GUYS, I'M A "NEWBIE" HERE. READING ALL THE INTERESTING COMMENTS ON THE GT-40 CAR CLUB AND IT'S MAGAZINE, NO ONE MENTIONED HOW TO JOIN OR SUBSCIBE. I'M A PAST MEMBER OF THE "OTHER" ISLANDS CLUB AND DID NOT BOTHER TO RENEW BECAUSE THERE WAS NO GT-40 RELATED INFO PUBLISHED AND NOTHING OF ANY CONCERN TO OTHER THAN THE "LOCALS". (NOTHING AT ALL OF INTEREST TO THE "COLONIES")

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE POST THE INFORMATION?

THANKS, AND, Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY.
