Doc, I will post some pics later, just to give you the heads up the motor is out, I had a problem with some flakes of metal in the oil so tore it down to check, it seems a pushrod had gone bad on me so will get it back together soon, its a 545 ci Big Block Ford with Trickflow heads, big solid cam, and should be pushing out around 600hp/675 Tq, backed up with a heavy duty C6 with manual valvebody. Regards Dave:laugh::thumbsup:

Welcome Dave, that's a lot of power for a front engined, rear wheel drive widowmaker. Make that switch to mid engine and a roof, reduces your laundry bill

Welcome to the world of GT40's Dave.

That sound's like one hell of a beast you have created there

545cu inches :stunned: i make that about 8.9 litres !!!! I bet that sounds lovely. I'm just down the road in Fareham with a GTD with a tiny 5 litre Ford. Looking forward to seeing some pics.................

Hi Dave,

Hello from a very local forum member - live in Wimborne, work in Poole.

Maybe you'd like to catch up sometime, or come along with us to the 'local' GT40 Enthusiasts Club meeting at the West Meon Hut, Hampshire. Next meeting is actually next Tuesday (19th Jan) - weather permitting I guess. During the warmer months you will often find half a dozen or more club cars, including my own and Jason's. Though not a '40, I'm sure your Cobra would be very welcome.

Cheers,

Max
