Oil Catch/Puke Tank

Need some advice from you fellows. Been talked about before (yes I have used search). I plan to put a catch tank in my car. I have already bough the rocker cover take-offs.

Here's the question. I see some around with breather caps and some without. Does it make a difference?

Gidday Brett,

I've always used a -12AN nipple welded to each rocker cover and run 3/4 inch hose from each to a 2 litre puke tank with a single small-ish K&N airfilter on top of the puke tank and a drain so it could be emptied easily. I retain one oil filler cap on one cover but not a breather style cap - you only need to breath at one location if your plumbing is generous enough. If you have room try to route the hoses uphill for a while as they leave the covers so oil transfer to the puke tank will be minimised.

Cheers, Andrew Robertson
