One way air valve.

I'm trying to find a one way air valve to put between my carb and brake servos - any info on where I can buy one ???

Paul,

Try a PCV (Pressure Control Valve) from a modern car. They should have the same size air input / outputs but be careful they have to be mounted in the same way as per the original car. They tend to be ball valves.

Best wishes,

Robert

Look at almost any honda pre 2000 model year (some new ones are part of the line), it is inline, on the firewall, close to the booster (servo??), usually grey in color.

Hi Paul,

Don't the servos have non-return valves incorporated? Surely they would lose vacuum as soon as the you accelerated if not (and lost vacuum in the carb).

I can supply a non-return valve (~£5 inc. hose tails), which I suppose would have to be installed the opposite way around to normal, but it operates above 0.5 Bar. I am not sure of the amount of vacuum a carb generates typically.

Thanks guys - I'll pop to the local scrapyard today to get one.

Dave - Yes the servos do have valves on them but it's best to have one as close as possible to the carb.

Paul,

I was looking at a "Europa" catelogue this morning at work and found exactly what you want. I believe that they have a web site , best you try that.

Best wishes,

Robert

Thanks Robert I couldn't seem to find them on their website - unless do you mean the vacum advance valve ???? I'll send them an email.
