I can finally say that my quest, for it has indeed been a quest, to produce a near perfect reproduction of the original steeringwheel badge/emblem, from the second prototype car, has finally come to a successful conclusion.
In the end, we had run out of modern techniques to produce it and resorted to manufacturing it using the same procedures that were employed back in the day.
I'm just glad that there are still some of the old boys left, to carry out the task..
The price is $ 315.00 which compares I feel favourably with the last price for a similar product of $ 400.00. The supplier of which can no longer offer this gorgeous item. Shipping whether tracked/insured will be at what it costs me.
