Here's some video of my best lap at LS Fest. Lap time was 1:50, 3 seconds better than my my best lap on day one. I think I did OK for my first time out on a road course. My goals for the weekend, in order of importance were 1) don't wreck the car and 2) have fun. Both goals accomplished!

According to the recall function on the KOSO, my top speed was 120 mph, but it wasn't on this lap.

Car ran pretty hot, so if I do this again, oil and trans coolers are a must.

Yes, on Nitto Invos. The Nitto guys even asked to put the car in their booth.

I'm running 1.5 degrees camber and the toe settings in the manual.

Also, a friend in Louisville sent me pics of Will's car from the weekend event. I was proud to say I knew the car. A friend of hers sent the pics and she forwarded to me. Small world :)

I'd think Nitto nt05's would help cut your lap times. the invos are utq220, nt05 are utq 140. but i think the nt05's wear off 1/3 faster. But they are 335's so you have to grind out the wheel wells a tad. They look fat..
NT05 Max Performance Tire

I was running a -1.1 camber and was getting oversteer/tire squeal. I went to -2.2 and that really helped me stay planted in hard corners. I may have overshot because I get a bit of camber wear. -2 or even -1.8 might have been a better compromise.

Then i put on Hoosier's . OMG - I've never driven a car so STUCK...

Just finished a more comprehensive video of my track day:

Pete,

What tires (never mind... I just checked your pics and see they are Nitto's) are you running with and air pressure? I was surprised to hear squealing tires. Have you had your alignment done and camber checked.

Air pressure was 30psi all around. I did the alignment myself, camber is set at -1.5.

Nice video Pete. It's great to see footage from outside of the car. That's rare to see. I liked the bloopers segment, too. Not to laugh at mistakes, but to see that you were pushing hard enough to make a few. AND that your mistakes were relatively safe. Good job.

Thanks A.J. I was very impressed with the NCM track, it's very well setup to allow novices to make mistakes without hitting anything or going off-road.

Holley just posted a teaser video for their LS Fest wrapup video. I'm not in the teaser, but here's the thumbnail for the video. Hmmm...

Peeled the dip today. Took about 4 hours. Glad I didn't paint it because I've got an all new crop of pinholes on the nose. Now to finish the bodywork.

The pinholes do tend to show up after heat cycles. I knew I was going to have a few because I could see them through the plastidip. After I peeled the dip, I found about 15.
