photos of monocoque

Several Forum members from the UK have made it down to Hampshire to visit my GT40 monocoque that is being completed at Adams-McCall Engineering. This is the shop that build the Safir tubs and they do very nice work and are great folks in the bargain. Evidently the tub gets its' share of company, several people have emailed me to let me know that they went down there.
I have no objection to your posting photos of the tub on this Forum, if you've taken any. Kerry doesn't do email pictures as yet, although he's sent me some by overseas "snail-feet-wet" mail, so if you have photos please feel free to put them up, or pass them around as you wish to.
OK, snails don't have feet, sorry /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Jim,

I did indeed make the trip up to see your David Brown monocoque under construction and have to say it looked very good, certainly a lot more faithful to a Mark I monocoque than the Safir monocoque.

I wouldn't post these images without your consent, but given that you are happy for them to be shared, I have uploaded all the images that I took. Enjoy! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Excellent, I am delighted to see them. I figured if I told everyone they were welcome to look it over I would get some photos at some point. Is that bespectacled fellow in the blue and yellow jacket Mr Catt?
The monocoque has a better social life than I do. It travels more (at my expense) and knows all sorts of people I haven't met except on line or by phone. One of these days it's going to ask for its' own driver's license and want to drive one of the other cars around the block... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Seriously, I appreciate you folks sending me the pictures. I think it will be on its' way to Safir pretty soon and then we can start putting it together.

Jim,

Congratulations, that looks very familiar !!!!!

Are you using one of the roofs from Roy Snook ??????

Best wishes,

Robert

Yes, the roof came from Roy and fit the doors fairly well when a GT40 Mark 1 door was offered up. Robert, how is yours going? I would like to see photos if you have had time to move it along.

Looking great Jim. The roof section really sets it off.

Cheers, Brian.
