Picture deletes with a ?

On some threads there were photos that appeared at one time but now a question mark in a blue square appears? Anyone know the deal on this?

Perhaps related to the old Photobucket extortion scam, but I’m thinking it’s more browser related. Try reloading that page or going through the process of deleting cookies and cache. Or - try another browser.
If the issue continues, let us know here along with a link to the page in question and I’ll look into it.

Many old threads do this. I just assumed the data was lost during some migration or something. We are talking like 2008 or so.

The links to the photos are broken since the original data no longer exists on the referenced site. If you look at the hyperlink, it is trying to open a photo on the website "www.maxted-page.com. If you go to the site, it is still operational however the picture in question is no longer on that site.

This site's current software has been changed to download and archive any new pictures so going forward, the image will always be present. Unfortunately, this change was only implemented late last year and it doesn't work "retroactively"
