Anybody see this preowned BMW ad yet? Pretty cheeky if you can't read the font it's "you know your not the first" the inference obviously being do you care

However, the ad's also pretty good at getting the point across — used Bimmers are cheaper than new ones. Also, they can give you Syphilis.

The used car market used to be just that.

But somewhere in there, I think in the 90s, that "Certified Pre-Owned" BS started creeping in and via that marketing tool changed the used car market. Changed it a lot in my opinion, to the point where many people are afraid to buy a used car from an individual - it has to be certified pre-owned.

The only people that get "owned" in these deals are the buyers of used cars from dealers where the prices are higher, always.
