My RCR40 spider arrived without trimming. Looking at pictures here, it looks like most edges are trimmed to about 3/4”. Is that correct?

I don’t have photos readily available to confirm, but to my memory - yes - 3/4” sounds about right. Don’t forget to buy the seals that you’re going to need when fitting the doors and rear clam to the spider.. The seals “MUST” be in place while fitting..

Thx much. I am focusing on moving the roll bar behind the firewall. It’s going to fit up into the spider. It’s hard to see what’s going on with the 3” lip so I’m only trimming the rear lip at this time.

Thinking back - again - I think mine was trimmed to 1” in the windshield area and roughly 3/4” the remainders. Ya, 3“ is a bit much..

Have your seals handy and check fit before trimming back !!
Bill,

I decided to leave 1-1/4" for now. It is much easier to cut off more later. I will also only trim the back edge where it is getting in my way. I do need to order seals, but have not done the research yet.

Cheers, Randy
